Jelly Roll Rug



In this 2 part class, learn how to make the rope used to create jelly roll rugs and learn how to get the center started so that it lies flat if you are making an oval rug.  You have the choice of making an oval rug or a rectangle or half circle (slice) rug.

Skill Details:
Requirements: One jelly roll (sewn end-to-end with bias seam into one continuous long strip - follow pattern instructions to fan fold if making an oval rug.) 2. One Katahdin On-a-Roll batting (2 1/4" x 50 yds) 3. One pattern (oval, flat or slice) 4. Jelly Roll Tube Maker (optional) 5. Walking foot (optional) 6. Pins or Wonder Clips 7. Size 16 Jeans needle 8. Lots of thread - (4 164/yd spools or 1 larger spool. Have 3-4 bobbins filled beforehand.) 9. Best Press - very important. 10. Sewing machine that can make at least a 5mm wide zig-zag or wider.
